It's Thanksgiving weekend up Canada way this weekend, but that didn't seem to slow things down on the music front as the majors continue to drop their fall line-up of blockbuster tracks. New music from Nickelback, Britney and Beyonce (which will show up next week) undoubtedly ruled the day. Stations and most companies will be closed on Monday, just in case you're wondering why no one has called you back as of around 2pm today. Have a good one, I'll be cooking up a Tofurky in your honour. Mmmm...
Notable:
-It seems that the station in question from the 'on-air' resignation I sent out last week is now reporting that it was actually a stunt designed to get some publicity. Seemed pretty authentic sounding to me. Leaves you wondering if we're being spun as a cover up.
-BBM Summer ratings came out earlier this week you can get the full report here. Most things remained flat, but of interest:
Live Ottawa dropped from 4.6 to 2.7
Z103 Toronto is up from 3.9 to 4.9
Hot 103 Winnipeg is up from 9.7 to 11.7
Fuel Calgary dropped from 2.1 to 1.6
Sonic Edmonton is up from 4.6 to 6.3
Bear Edmonton is up from 9.7 to 11.6
Beat Vancouver is up from 7.0 to 9.8
